Finesse Remodeling has been remodeling homes for Los Angeles families since 1989. Our office is on Ventura Boulevard in Encino, and most of the work we do is within a short drive of it — the flats between Ventura and Victory, the hillside streets climbing toward Mulholland, and the neighboring Valley communities on either side of us.
That geography shapes the work more than most people expect. Encino's housing stock is largely postwar: ranch homes built from the 1940s through the 1960s in the flats, with mid-century and contemporary houses above Ventura on the hillside side of the boulevard. Those homes were well built. They were also built for a different appliance load, a different electrical panel, and a completely different idea of how a kitchen should connect to the rest of the house. Most of what we do is bringing that framework up to how people actually live now, without pretending the original house does not exist.
Every project runs with one team and one point of contact. Design and layout, demolition, framing, plumbing, electrical, cabinets, countertops, flooring, tile, and finish carpentry are all sequenced by us. Nobody is standing around waiting on a trade that never showed up, and you are never the person making the phone call to find out where the tile installer is.
Permits are our job, not yours. Encino, Sherman Oaks, Tarzana, Studio City, and the rest of the Valley neighborhoods inside city limits are permitted through the Los Angeles Department of Building and Safety. Separate cities such as Burbank, Calabasas, and Beverly Hills run their own building departments with their own submittal requirements. Properties on the hillside side of Ventura Boulevard carry additional review that flat-lot properties do not. We prepare the plans, file them, pull the permit, and meet the inspector on site.
Pricing is fixed and in writing after we have walked the space in person, with allowances for tile, fixtures, and hardware broken out line by line. If you change your mind about a faucet halfway through, you know exactly what it changes before you approve it. What you will not get from us is a number over the phone, because a number given before anyone has seen the room is a marketing figure and it always climbs.
From Kitchen Remodeling to ADU Construction and Whole Home Renovation, we take on a deliberately limited number of projects at a time. That is the whole model: fewer jobs, closer supervision, and a schedule that holds because it was not built on the assumption that everything goes right.
